Workforce Development
Workforce development is one of the key program areas of. The Local Government Practice Unit (LGPU) conducts the workforce development program for LGMA and Australian Centre of Excellence for Local Government (ACELG) as a strategic partner. Its purpose is to formulate a national workforce development strategy and related measures to assist in addressing the sector’s workforce challenges by building capacity and capability, and making local government a national employer of choice.
